Finding Footholds in the Quicksand

Do you suffer?

4 Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted.
5 But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.

Isaiah 53, 4-5, NKJV

Even as a wife, do you sometimes feel alone?

5 For your Maker is your husband,
The LORD of hosts is His name;
And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel;
He is called the God of the whole earth.

Isaiah 54:5, NKJV

Do you worry about your children?

13 All your children shall be taught by the LORD,
And great shall be the peace of your children.

Isaiah 54:13

I sometimes do all of the above.  But why? If I just listen to the Love Whispers, and rest in them, I find footholds in the quicksand.

May your heartbeats be filled today with whispers from your One True Lover until you tingle.

We watched these open this morning on the patio over his coffee and my tea.  It took about 30 minutes, and it was our gift unwrapped today.

Linking up today with Chatting the Sky:

Today’s whispers were from a Bible reading plan on my Motivated Moms list for August 17.

Remember:  He is the Answer, the Key, to everything.

    stephanie, what are they? they’re pretty and prickly and pink! 🙂
    it’s crazy how we forget or ignore so many biblical principles and promises. i’m sorry about all the p’s. i mean, the first set was on purpose, but the 2nd just happened, lol! 🙂

    • You know, I don’t know the name! I think maybe it’s Spanish Moss? The leaves look cactus-ey, but actually, they are smooth, and thick, kind of like mini Aloe Vera without the spikes.

      I like the alliteration.

    Just reminded myself of Isaiah 54:13 this afternoon on my drive home. It was so sweet to come home and read your blog and see it there! Love whispers all around!
